Best beers and breweries during the first six months of 2019

Hello there you magnificent beer lover! As you might have notice, we started publishing monthly stats about best breweries and beers in our social media pages (twitter and facebook). So what beers have been In and what breweries are on the top right now? These rankings are based on the first six months of this year, how often the brewery or beer has been in the top three monthly. So this is basically like a Pound-for-Pound listing they use in martial arts and not about what necessarily has the overall highest mean. Let’s begin!

Top 3 best beers

1. Paix dieu Tripel by Belgian Brasserie Caulier (10% Tripel)

paix dieu tripel.jpeg
Paix dieu Tripel is blond in colour with a large white head. Phenols such as clove, pepper and mild banana make the aroma and flavour world with a hint of orange, maltiness and herbs. Alcohol is well hidden and the body is solid.
This beer has had the number 1 spot three times during these first six months. And actually, it has been in the top three every month! That’s hardcore! Easy choice to our number one spot.

2. Yellow Belly by Swedish Omnipollo (11% imperial stout)
The beer that backs a ton of flavour: Chocolate, nutty, coffee, vanilla. Veeeeryyyyy niceeee. The final batch of this product has made the beer lovers crazy. If you haven’t tasted this yet I’d strongly recommend!

3. Tripel Karmeliet by Belgian Brouwerij Bosteels (8,4% Tripel)tripel karmeliet.jpeg
First brewed in 1996 according to the recipe from 1679 and still holds the top spot in the ratings. True classic. This beer has won several awards and is indeed a beer everyone should taste in their lifetime. This beer has everything that should be in world-class Tripel!

1. Beavertown brewery. Based in London, England in 2011. All kinds of beers with all kinds of strength. Quality work. This brewery has been in the top three, four times in the past six months and deserves the highest ranking in our list.

cantillon.jpeg2. Brasserie Cantillon
With 119 years of experience, this small Belgian family brewery brews one of the bests if not THE bests Lambics in the world! In the year 1900, there were over 100 breweries in Brussel, in which Cantillon is the only one still operating today. Beers from this brewery are highly praised all over the world by beer enthusiasts and experts.

garage beer.pngtiny rebel.png3. In this spot, we have no choice but hand it out to two breweries: Garage beer Co. And Tiny Rebel.
Garage beer Co. Is founded in Barcelona, Spain in 2015 by two beer lovers James Welsh and Alberto Zamborlin best known for tasteful IPAs and Berliner Weisses. As the brewery name suggests, the taproom and brewery resemble a garage.

Eight years ago founders of Tiny rebel were still homebrewing on their dad’s garage and now they have award-winning, one of the highly praised breweries in the world which they found in 2012. Tiny rebel brews numerous styles of beers and about 15% of their production is exported to overseas all the way to Japan.

So this is how it looks in the world of beer according to the first six months of 2019. Please, do comment on what do you think. Cheers!
