Jane Peyton introduction

Hello Pint Pleasers!
My name is Jane Peyton – beer sommelier, writer, author of several non-fiction books included ‘Beer o’ Clock’ and ‘Drink: A Tippler’s Miscellany’ founder of the School of Booze, award winning pub tour host, instigator of Beer Day Britain – Britain’s national beer day – annually on June 15th. I won the titles Britain’s first Beer Sommelier of the Year (awarded by the Beer Academy in 2014) and Drinks Educator of the Year 2016 (awarded by Imbibe Magazine). I am a gold medal winning beer writer (awarded by the British Guild of Beer Writers), and currently a Guinness World Record holder for presenting the World’s Largest Beer Tasting Tutorial (1,236 people). I am also the co-writer of the song ‘Cheers To Beer’ – an anthem to beer.
I am so fortunate to make a living from alcoholic drinks and doing the research in pubs – surely amongst the best things ever conceived!
Pint Please has invited me to write about a number of beer and pub-related themes so in the coming weeks you will be able to read about top craft beer pubs in London, Britain’s beer scene, what is real ale and plenty of other subjects. Hopefully, the posts will inspire you to get out there to the pub and start rating the amazing beers you taste!
Cheers,
