My statistics are now available in Pint Please

mystats_facebook_post_graphicSo you’re a seasoned IPA enthusiast? Or a fashionable sour connoisseur? That’s cool and all, but is that actually true? Do you even know? Maybe you’re a closet lager drinker but just don’t know it. Even in this post-truth era, the truth shall set you free, which is why we’re pleased to introduce our new statistics engine.

The stats engine will tell you who and what you are, leaving you free to live your life as an open and honest individual. It doesn’t fuss with meaningless trivialities like your sexual, religious or political preferences, but instead narrows down on what our expert team has concluded to be the critical defining factors of everyday life. Once you know these things about yourself, you are on your way to a more balanced and fruitful existence.

So without further ado, here is My statistics. A brand new feature in Pint Please that will introduce you to yourself.

Most tasted and best-rated beer styles

This is it right here. Which beer styles do you actually drink? The top 5 most tasted beer styles are shown as a delicious doughnut chart and the rest can be seen in a list. You may think you like IPAs but lo and behold, the lowly Lager tops the list. Mind you there is nothing wrong with being a lager drinker, I am one too 🙂

The best-rated beer styles is a slight variation of the same theme where the list is sorted by the average ratings you have given to beers belonging to a particular beer style. The previous statistic told you which beer styles you usually drink, this one tells you which ones you like the most. Why might those be different? Wouldn’t you usually drink the styles you like the most? Well, that is a question you must ask yourself.

Most tasted and best-rated breweries

Are you brand loyal? Are there certain breweries that especially tickle your fancy? I must confess to being a bit of an Omnipollo-fanboy and my stats clearly indicate that. But because my nearby grocery store doesn’t carry Omnipollo beers, it sits quite low in my most tasted list and very high in my best-rated list. Such is life.

Most tasted and best-rated countries

“You can’t be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.”

– Frank Zappa

How does one taste a country? Well, tasting their beer of course!

The average strength of your tasted beers.

I like my beers like I like my women. Smooth and tender and interesting to talk to. My stats also show that I seem to like them best at 5,9 % alcohol by volume so I guess this analogy ends there.

The average rating you have given all your beers in Pint Please.

It seems my ratings average out to 3.5 which is right smack-dab in the middle. So either I fear the ones and fives and take shelter around the threes or maybe I’m bold and taste the horrible ones and delightful fives in equal proportions. I’d like to think it’s the latter, but some further stats might reveal it to be the former…

Posts by the day of the week and hour and by the alcohol percentage

Most of my reviews seem to clump at around 16:00 (that’s 4 PM for you Americans) which is hardly surprising since that’s when the workday typically ends. But what’s that 8 in the morning doing there? Who has beer first thing in the morning? Well, me apparently… Although I seem to recall that had something to with a photo shoot. At least according to my official excuse.

Places you have visited

Beers are great but places are nice too. Especially when you visit them. And then include them in your beer review so your stats can remind you of the places you’ve been to. Like that small pub in Berlin that served those amazing fish tacos during Berlin beer week. Or that quirky beer shop in Minsk.

Places are shown in many ways. Obviously in lists of most tasted and best-rated, but also in a map where you can see where they’re  located.

How can I get it?

You can see the statistics banner in your profile in the Pint Please app. It is a one-time purchase at 4,99€ (price depends on your country) and after purchasing it you can see the stats in your user profile.

You have asked for it and we have delivered. Check it out and tell your buddies. And of course let us know what you think. Cheers!
