Pint Please at Brew//LDN beer festival

We went to the BrewLDN beer festival in London and what an event it was! Two days of pure beer mayhem and awesome beers.
BrewLDN is one of the biggest craft beer festivals in United Kingdom. It hosts over 100 breweries and 11 000 visitors. Festival takes place in Printworks London which is an old massive news paper printing house. Nowadays the venue is used for concerts, parties, launch events and as a filming location. Dozens of movies have been filmed at Printworks such as Marvel’s Blackwidow, Avengers, Age of Ultron, latest Batman etc. Printworks has been selected as one of the best clubs in the world even though it’s not a permanent club. Quite a place to host a beer festival!
BrewLDN started on Friday morning (6th of May 2022) with a trade session. This was only for the industry professionals ranging from brewery staff, bloggers and general drinking industry people. After a 1,5 hour break the regular beer drinkers started to pour in. DJs were playing music with comfortable levels and the whole place looked kind of like there was a warehouse party going on. Later on the night there was a big crowd dancing at the DJ stage. Printworks is such a large venue with three huge hangars that it never felt crowded really.

Free beer and great success!
We as a Pint Please had our own stand at BrewLDN where we promoted Pint Please and also gave free beer to everyone. The stand was set up with BrewBroker and Proof Insight because BrewLDN was also our launching event for the new analytics platform that we have created together for the industry professionals.
We had beer from Big hug Brewing and Laine Brewery but also from our Finnish friends Rock Paper Scissors Brewing. Specialty from Rock Paper Scissors was long drink which is a traditional Finnish drink made of gin and grape fruit juice originally made for the 1952 Helsinki Olympic games. BrewLDN visitors who were mostly Londoners had never heard of it and they loved it! Many came back to our stand to get some more.

BrewLDN was success for Pint Please. Nearly third of the visitors downloaded the app. We also launched a new feature in UK called Taste Experience offers. This allowed Brew//LDN visitors to get offers and discounts from different breweries by using Pint Please. Offers ranged from free hugs to special tasting sessions to free beer and we got great feedback of it.
Freeze, Pint Police!
After the Saturday night everyone in our team had sore feet and many of us had our voices pitched down few semitones because of constant talking. One young lady was looking at me weirdly when I was giving my pitch about Pint Please on the Saturday night near our stand. Pint Please this and Pint Please that, I continued. I kept talking and after a while her eyes lit up:
– “Oh, Pint PLEASE! I thought you were talking about Pint POLICE!”, she said.
– “Don’t worry. I won’t arrest you”, I replied with my Finnish accent.

Great beers, great food
We were so busy all the time during the festival that we didn’t have much time to taste the awesome beers that were available from the breweries. There were about 700 different beers so lots to choose from. It would have been great to visit the brewery stands with proper time, slowly taste the beers and grab some free stickers and other merchandise which many breweries were giving out. Next time! This was the first time that Pint Please was present at any UK beer festival so we went into a zone and concentrated on telling Londoners about our app even though it meant missing some great beers. 😊
Food at the festival was also great varying from awesome burgers, pizza, thai food, fish and veggie selections.
If you got a chance to visit BrewLDN next year I highly recommend it!
