Dry Stout, England
2.8
Second flight 1/4 to accompany a Korean chicken kimchi burger meal. Murky, dark brown beer looks like black coffee. A neat beige head is born on the top. It withdraws soon to the sides. The nose picks burned malt, a tad wood and licorice. The medley is, again, what else, weak. Licorice, blackcurrant leaf, burned malt and a pinch of charcoal come through distinctly on the tongue. Surprisingly fruity, I expected something dry. The body is light. The finish spreads roasted malt and garden berries further onto the tastebuds. The mouthfeel is light, roasty and a bit burned. Dry? Nope. Unchallenging for sure
