Thermometer reading 38, headache forming from dehydration even though I'm pounding water which is instantly turning to sweat that melts my shirt into a sticky uncomfortable mess. Customers are cranky, muscles are cramping, then suddenly... Shift is over and I'm on vacation. With renewed energy and a sense of adventure I reach into my mystic colderator and pull out some magic life enhancing drinking potion. My wife is asking me questions, and the kids are yelling for my attention, the dog just peed on the floor but.... Haha, sorry it's my first vacation beer and all I can hear is sweet potential and and a long drawn out sigh from myself. I enjoy a good looking beer and this one is stunning. Crystal clear, and rich gorgeous copper colour, it allows a thin beige foam to rest on top of it. As a courtesy to the artistic value of this drink the foam layer lasts the length of it. Rich earthiness and tart Belgian yeast aromas lend depth to the caramels, burnt sugar, and dried fruits. The flavour of this is just fantastic. It is so well blended it's hard to pick it into components. There is warmth from alcohol, caramel, singed sugar, and Belgian yeast notes. Honestly I was working self up for a deep long review but it's just plain old fashioned good. This is going to be a sweet two weeks.
