Talon saisonhiivalla ensin käytetty, noin vuoden tammitynnyreissä kypsytetty ja blendattu punaruskea hapanolut. Oloroso-sherrytynnyrit antavat oluelle viinimäistä hedelmäisyyttä ja marjaisuutta, Ägräsin akvavit-tynnyreistä irtoaa kevyttä mausteisuutta ja bourbontynnyrit tuovat olueen vienon vaniljaisen tammen aromeja. Raikkaan monitahoisen vivahteen makupalettiin luo kypsytyksen aikana hidas hapantuminen villihiivoilla ja bakteereilla. Huikea nautiskeluolut ystävien kesken tai yhdistettynä ruokaan.

Tämä on parhaita suomalaisia soureja joita olen juonut.

This is both an interesting and also a bit scary beer. Interesting, because of the style that is fairly rare. Scary, exactly because of the same reason: a Finnish interpretation of a Flanders Red could potentially be a pitfall. Not sure if I have ever heard of a well crafted Finnish Flanders Red. Is this the one then?
The appearance is murky, dark auburn–brown. The carbonation is rather restrained but manages to create a velvety latte-hued lacing that falls short of one finger. The foamy lid shrinks fast to the sides. A gossamer haze wafts in the center.
The scent is sour: purple grape, redcurrant, purple plum and sour cherry. Red wine dominates, escorted by red wine barrel nuances and Bourbon. Not bad. Not bad at all! The wild yeast is almost unrecognizable in the air but a remote leathery note pops up occasionally. Wheat malt supports the foundation. Promising!
The taste profile is sour. The gustatory fruity and berry components include dry red wine, purple grape, dark plum, purple gooseberry, faint apple and a whisper of redcurrant. The already familiar supportive flavors come from the Bourbon, unbeatable wine barrel and wheat malt. The leathery twist also continues onto the tongue. Very interesting!
The body is medium. The tail waves with red wine and barrel notes, maybe a sigh of leather, but many of the fruity components just drop away on the road.
The mouthfeel is medium, amply vinous as well as tannic, nicely tart and puckering. Somewhat oaky, barrel aged. A tad rich and offers a bit of complexity. A solid sample of the style! Yeah, it is the one.
The label looks hippie. 🏵️🌼☮️

Kirpsakkaa, todella kirpsakkaa ja kukkaisen mehumaista. Hyvällä tavalla erilainen sour, lähempänä lambicin makua kuin esanssista souria
