Hyvin kirpeä ja aronianmakuinen elämys. Hyvin kaukana myös perus lagerista.

Foggy, copper beer with effervescent, regular-duration carbonation lays a white, small-bubbled head that builds itself up to one finger. The foamy cap dissolves hastily to flat still. No lacy marks on the glass afterwards. The scent is medium-sour, offering first and foremost, hefty Champage yeast. On the fruity side, I can detect aronia, sea-buckthorn and a bit of rhubarb. If the fragrance was manageable in terms of sourness, the gustatory profile slams the tastebuds back and forth. The sour aronia and distinct sea-buckthorn push my taste receptors to the limit and even beyond. Pungent lemon zest brings in even more sourness. I could also argue that I additionally get a neat pour of unsweetened rhubarb juice and faint green grapes. The tannic, dry white wine with very Lambic-y wild yeast is massively embedded all over the taste universe. This must be among the top most sour beers I have tasted -- and I love it! The body ranges between light and light-medium. The beer finishes with overwhelming sour lemon zest, bags of aronia as well as sea-buckthorn, followed by powerful dry white wine and loads of wild yeast. The aftertaste keeps the tastebuds shocked over medium to long duration. The mouthfeel is extremely tart, tannic, puckering and somewhat mouth-drying. It's really dry, a bit acidic and strongly vinous. The mouthfeel is, moreover, gardeny and quite challenging. Very Lambic-y. I could also say that this is rather extreme. If this was in a Cantillon bottle, I would say it needs more cellaring and give 4.8-4.9 stars. However, since this is obviously not supposed to be cellared and it's not Cantillon, it deserves a fiver in my opinion. I love beers that deviate from the average and take a step or two to the wild side. This does it big time! Crazy!
