This is the barrel aged version, no idea how old it is but it’s the last of my Fallen Acorn beers after they closed in Spring ‘23.
It’s probably the best stout I’ve had by them. Time has been exceedingly kind to this beer.
It’s all figs and raisins and a bit of caramel. It’s so mellow and smooth…

There’s not a lot I can say about this other than it’s fucking goood! There’s a hint of burnt bitterness to this as the intensity of the roast malts increases, yet there’s still a well balanced malt bill and a depth of flavour throughout. Instead of a creaminess from the oats, there’s now a clotted-creaminess. It’s an intense version of Sith Faced👌🍺
