Aroma: Orange peel, grass and grapefruit. Dry, smooth, juicy, balanced, easy drinking and clean. Very, very easy to drink. Taste: Citrus, grapefruit, orange peel, grass, pine and bitterness. Aftertaste is dry and grassy. Not my favourite flavours but a very good mouthfeel and that makes this beer very good. Flavours are in good balance.

BEER: Chunky Buttons BREWERY: Monkish Brewing Co. BEER STYLE: DIPA COUNTRY: USA ALCOHOL (ABV): 8.6% COLOUR (EBC): Monkish Yellow (12.5) BITTERS (EBU/IBU): - SCENT: Dry flowered candy, plenty of passionfruit and some grapefruit. Soft and easy. FOAM: Nonexistent. GREY’S VIEW Mosaic, Cascade, Vic Secret & Citra DDH DIPA. Ok. Let’s dive in. This one is also a soft, with good amount of flavors and hoppiness. Flavors are a bit hard to name, but overall feel of fresh citrus, some dry bread and mixed bowl of various fruits are there. This has that candy like, bit birchy feel all over it. The danky side raises its head in the aftertaste presenting woodsy ground, easy going resin and some grapefruit peel. Mouthfeel is quite filling with low and lazy sized carbonation. Double Dry-Hopping is one of the main characters in this, raising this far from the stillwater league. OTHER NOTES: Mmm. A bit odd one. Flavors are clearly there, but they seem to be a bit dimmed. It is high quality brew, but something just doesn’t hit me. CANNED 2/12/2020 TASTED 10/12/2020
