Ive been passing this over for a while due to a the last little aversion I had to fruit included beers. But since I've embraced them and I love wheat beers especially Belgian wit, I'm going for it. I've already started to love this during the pour as it is a lovely cloudy golden yellow just the way I like a wit to be. It releases a fairly standard small head that eventually collapses back to an equally standard patchy foam layer. The love affair continues as the nose explores the alluring aromas. It flaunts equal parts wonderful wit and stimulating strawberry. The wit promises quality and has well blended tiny hints of citrus and spice. It is hard to pick out the yeast ester flavours as they are enveloped beautifully by the strawberry. The strawberry comes through as delicate, creamy, and sweet. I find that the flavour profile is separated quite a bit more than than the scent. The initial offering is a delightful light wit with all you would expect from one, with some mild tartness, citrus, and wheat zest. But.... this is where it gets odd. The transition into the strawberry side is rough. There are some odd tastes that come from this transition. The strawberry side itself is delightful, with notes of cookie, cereal, (if you know them think cap'n crunchberries or frankenberry), and strawberry cream hard candy. Lactose adds a bit of sweet creaminess that the strawberry embraces well. The transition though is very odd and almost medicinal or like plastic. I cant quite place it. I have to deduct 1 star for that. It's weird. Other than that this beer is delightful. Rock on Fuggles & Warlock. Their motto is "Keeping beer weird" and they deliver.

Authentic strawberry flavour, without being too sweet (think Fruili, without the thickness or sugar level). One of my newest faves.
