Turbid, yellow beer with introvert carbonation produces a cloud-white head that fails to reach one finger. Retention is at least medium-duration as a moldy lacing wafts on the surface for quite some time. The scent is very vivacious and zippy, and immediately catches my attention: loads of yuzu, lemon and mint open respiratory tracts if one has symptoms of flu or something. Furthermore, I find a distant peppery twist among the olfactory supply as if it wouldn't fit perfectly there... The gustatory side is somewhat astringent. I'm getting yuzu again, but less voluminous than in the scent. Lemon zest, grapefruit pulp, bags of wheat malt and the same peppery tang as in the fragrance constitute the palette. However, I learn from the label and also my tongue eventually hints that the pepper is actually cardamom. Anyway, it gives a bitter powdery impression to my tastebuds. Mint diminishes drastically but doesn't go entirely hiding. The body is light. The finish turns more regular bitter sour citrusy and drops almost all the yuzu flavor out. Another new element is the hoppy touch that lands on the tastebuds. The aftertaste sucks my kiss, cuts me my share. The mouthfeel is light, a bit tart, astringent, moderately powdery and somewhat zippy. It's zesty, also refreshing as well as a tad dry and drying. A bit different from standard Blanches.
