Althea is a modern hazy American Pale Ale. Unlike many pales, Althea is low on bitterness, yet massively hoppy on the aroma. Named after one of our head brewer’s favourite Grateful Dead songs; Althea is a beer that can be enjoyed by the pint or by the glass!

Nice mellow, slightly sweet, hazy. Not too hoppy.
Nice session IPA.

Hazy just like the label suggests. Otherwise pale yellow, almost straw. Beautiful. The carbonation is rash and fizzy. A soapy off-white head climbs two fingers tall and dissipates quickly to a super billowy lace ring with multiple traces on the glass.
Lemon zest, carambola and raw pineapple dance in the air. Nothing naughty but not tame either. Neatly fruity and zesty, anyway.
The tastebuds enjoy the soft fruity taste. The composition includes lemon pulp, oat flakes, a pinch of pineapple, perhaps somewhat raw indeed, and a hint of carambola. Nice and refreshing.
The body is light. The end is equal to the earlier experience. No change. I told Althea I was feeling lost, lacking in some direction; Althea told me upon scrutiny that the aftertaste might need protection.
The mouthfeel is light, zesty, pulpy, refreshing and sessionable. It's clean and balanced. Enjoyable, especially within its low ABV (4.8 %) category.

Une mousse persistante avec de grosses bulles.
Au nez bizarrement je sent des fruits de la passion.
En bouche je sent l’amertume et malheureusement un goût désagréable

Up there as one of the nicest IPA’s I’ve tasted.
