Belgian Stout Barrel Aged
9.6% Imperial Stout
A rich, smooth and decadent blend, aged for 13 months in burgundy barrels. The subtle aroma of vanilla is complimented by a fruity, spicy aftertaste. This stout was created as a collaboration with the Norwegian Brewery Lervig.

2022 Christmas Advent Beer 5. I’ve had these Belgian stouts before. Really not impressed by them, in fact some have been quite horrendous. They were essentially a Tripel with dark grains used in the mash. Horrible stuff. This however is a propose stout! It’s really smooth and easy drinking. The flavours flit between milk and dark chocolate, and coconut and warming spice. The Belgian yeast esters are subtle, only marginally detectable, as is a hint of vanilla that occasionally presents itself

Lovely flavoured dark stout with a Belgian flavour - great alcohol … not for a session though.
