Cambridge 🇬🇧 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 🍻 Flight 1/4. Transparent, amber beer allows a tiny-bubbled, off-white head to form on the top. Soon the foamy cap withdraws to the sides. The nose is first hit with unpleasant dishcloth odor. Fortunately not very powerful. A faint piney hint emanates thereafter up to the nose. The taste is unexpectedly thin, even watery. Bitter malt, a bit of piney hops and grapefruit peel constitute the flavor cocktail. I'm glad that there's nothing like dishcloth or other skunky aromas in the taste. The body is, like I said, skinny. The finish gives grass, pine, grapefruit peel and malt. The mouthfeel is thin, even watery, crisp, moderately tangy, medium-dry and drying. This is difficult: I should probably try to enjoy these beers in the context of mild beer preferences but I can't help comparing this to other IPAs, with bigger ABVs or even the same, and this fails to win prizes on such a contest.
