Naughty Hildegard
6.5% Premium Bitter / Strong Bitter / ESB
Despite ESB meaning "Extra Special Bitter", to me an ESB is about balance between the various flavours. This ESB tilts too far toward the bitter end of things.

Good flavor, a little bitter for my taste, but has a great refreshing grapefruit finished.

Well the aroma comes across slightly hoppy bring forward a pine scent. I believe there is a caramel maltiness birthed hops have it sort of hidden. The flavour is very similar. A little hoppier than I'd hoped for with a bit of a pine/juniper note. I'm a bitters fan especially ESB, and to me this seems almost like a classic IPA. A very tasty beer to be sure, but not quite what I was looking for in an esb.
