Beer 2/5. Pours limpid, deep amber. A pure white, silky head reaches half a finger's height. Retention is also medium. The nose is even less pronounced than that of beer #1, yet these both are American IPAs. I'm receiving apricot, biscuit, honeydew and faint toffee but in moderation. The taste profile is more straight to the point than beer #1: piney and resinous elements join the fruity apricot, orange peel and lofty biscuit malt. The body clocks medium. Interestingly, this is more robust than the first beer although the ABV is lower. The finish doesn't change that much from upfront, only the piney and resinous flavors reduce a bit but remain certainly present there. The mouthfeel is crisp, a tad husky, piney, dry and drying. Very classical.
