Disturbance in the Fence 8.8%, Staggeringly Good Beer, England
3 notes
Disturbance in the Fence
8.8% Coffee Porter
Collaboration with Emperors Brewing and Simply Hops. A disturbance in the fence. A temporal shift between two worlds. At the edge of existence, the very tipping point at which the laws of the Universe are tested to their limits. A distorion of nature, blending two realities into one. Experience this collision of styles. A double dry hopped porter infused with bleeding edge hops, this being the UK's first beer to contain Titan. Gorgeous tropical notes sit on top of a luscious dark chocolate base.

3.1
Draught; pours a slightly hazy dark brown to jet black, tan head, gentle sparkle across the throat; on the nose tropical and hop forward, clean coffee and hints of chocolate in the background; in the mouth surprisingly juicy at first - think mango and pineapple with hints of citrus - followed by a strong bitter chocolate character which hints at coffee grounds but never quite gets there; short finish with lingering malty chocolate notes; overall great yet surprising Porter
