Parabolita
9.2% Flavoured Stout / Pastry Stout
A delicious reimagining of our iconic Parabola barrel-aged imperial stout, we aged a selection of Parabola for one year in premium bourbon barrels, then blended it with a complement of Velvet Merlin milk stout to create a silky mouthfeel and a more approachable ABV. Finally, we infused the beer with whole Madagascar vanilla beans, cocoa nibs and sea salt to achieve a full Salted Caramel-style drinking experience.

At Muck and Fuss with my dear family having a good time with burgers and beer.
Almost no aroma. Heavy coat on the glass when swirled. Milk chocolate, smooth, puts a film in the mouth. Unrefined vanilla and only a touch of bourbon. Salt is there but far in the background.

On retrouve la vanille, mais j'ai du mal à reconnaître le caramel et le goût du vieillissement en fût de bourbon. Elle est relativement légère pour du 9,2°... Ça passe, mais c'est moyen pour le style.

Tons of tasty notes. The cocoa especially bites through. Really nice on the front and mid. But the back has a weird kick to it that bleeds into the middle aftertaste. It’s definitely something interacting with the bourbon taste. On that note… the bourbon is nice and mild in this one. It’s a solid 5 on the front. Overall an adventure of a drink that I would share with others, but would never be a staple.

This is just excellent. This has a lot of vanilla with oak, cocoa, light caramel and lightly roasted malt that has a touch of char to it. The bourbon taste is at a light++ level & ever present thru out. This beer is very well balanced as it is just lightly sweet but has dry elements to it with a touch of bitterness.
Overall it is rich, flavorful, robust and slightly creamy. Just a heavenly libation. Well worth the $8 it cost.
