IPA légère et acqueuse, amertume un peu sèche. Se laisse boire mais pas la meilleure IPA.

Extended Quarantine Day #26. Confinement of Uusimaa Region Day #14. My souvenir from 🇨🇦 pours limpid, copper. The noisy carbonation builds a tall, off-white froth that shoots up to four fingers easily. The foamy tower breaks down fairly fast and descends to a hair-thin lacing on the top. The head hugs the wall of the glass and ascends a bit onto it. The froth sprays the glass with multiple tiny spots. The scent is strange: I pick boiled asparagus, biscuit, sweet dough and sugarbeet. The vegetal aroma is dominant and seasoned with a sugary nuance. The taste is far too sweet for an IPA in my standards: sweet malt, a tad bitter caramel, a small dollop of corn syrup, oat biscuit and Digestives. I can also detect the vegetal suggestion of asparagus that is fortunately substantially restrained. It wouldn't be my favorite nuance anyway. In a beer, I mean. The body is light to light-medium. The beer finishes with medium-sweet malt, corn syrup, oat crackers and, again, distant boiled asparagus with a thin coating of sugar. The hoppy side is thin, slightly grassy and bears also a faint piney twist. The aftertaste turns back to the tastebuds over medium duration. The mouthfeel is somewhat odd, confusing and vegetal. It's also a bit sappy and only minimally crisp. Thumbs down! 👎🏻

Saman panimon olutta lasiin kuin edellinenkin, tällä kertaa oluttyylinä IPA. Jyrkkä ja päällekäyvä ensimaku. Voimakkaan katkeroinen, eikä humalissakaan ole säästelty. Karamellimäinen makeus mukana, paahteinen mallas myös vahvasti mukana. Havuinen, saippuamainen, tynnyrimäinen. Hedelmistä ainoastaan greippi ja sitrus esiintyy. Ei kovin vahvaa, mutta silti pieni alkoholin maku tulee jälkimakuun. Ei helpoimmasta päästä oleva ipa todellakaan, aloittelija ei varmasti tykkäisi, johtuen valtaisasta katkeroisuudesta. Itselle kyllä maistuu, eikä alkoholikaan häiritse liikaa, luonnetta tästä löytyy!
