A nightcap. The appearance is relatively transparent, copper. The carbonation is timid. The emerging head is truly restrained. Ample rum barrel emanates to my nose. Cane sugar, biscuit, malt, white wine, green grape, waffle, a suggestion of vanilla and remote bubblegum. That's a long list of nuances that I manage to observe in the air to top up the main input. The taste is sweeter than what I was prepared for. A bit shocking... Cane sugar, predominantly. Rum, oak barrel notes, white wine, green grape, biscuit, orange zest and a proposal of vanilla. Almost an identical lineup of flavors on the tastebuds. The body is medium-full. Ends with rum, white wine and soaked barrel nuances. Orange peel and apricot accompany in the distance. The mouthfeel is intense, mellow, rich, deep, relatively heavy, barrel aged, moderately alcoholic and warming. Complex. Slightly lip-glueing. And heady, which shouldn't come as a surprise. A big beer, and a definite slow sipper, but quite demanding, as well.

Du fût de chêne, de l’alcool, carbonatation minimale, du goût de malt torréfié, longueur peu amère. Un joli spectacle!

Magnifique blonde mature en fût de chêne. Chargée à bloc, longue en arômes, bravo!!

Neues Bier in der App und ich frage mich wieso. War doch mal in einer Kalea Box vor einigen Jahren. Bin ja nicht der Einzige hier, der dieses Bier bekommen hat. Oder? Ein Imperiales Belgisch Blond soll es aus der Schweiz sein und dazu noch mein drittes Schweizerbier ever. Im Glas ist es aber eher ein Amber Ale. Mittlerer Bernstein und ausgewogene Trübung. Es bildet sich schwerlich etwas Schaum, welche aber sofort wieder verschwindet. Tonnenschwer, eichenfassgereift und alkoholisch kommt eines der stärksten Biere daher, welches ich je probieren durfte. Ich freue mich auf den ersten Schluck. Wie erwartet ist hier keine Kohlensäure am Start. Es trinkt sich fast so weich wie Cognac. Das in Barrique-Fässern gereifte Ale ist wie erwartet alkoholisch aber nicht sprittig. Dafür sorgt die feine Holzfassnote und die Rumtopffrüchte. Man muss sagen, daß das Ale "leichter" erscheint, als es wirklich ist. Man muss sich den nächsten Schluck nicht erzwingen sondern hat Bock drauf. Zum Schluss kommt die Eiche nochmal hervor und rundet diesen feinen Weinersatz wunderbar ab. Wirklich ein Genuss!
