8.5% versio:
Kevyen rusehtavan ja tummahkon keltaista ja sameaa ja sameahkoa. Vähäinen ja pienikuplainen vaahto.
Tuoksu runsaan, maukkaan, makean ja hieman karkkimaisen trooppisen hedelmäinen (guavaa, papaijaa, mangoa). Oikein mukava tuoksu.
Maku maukkaan, makean ja runsahkon trooppisen hedelmäinen (ananasta, mangoa, papaijaa, nektariinia), kevyen ja mukavan dänkkisen tunkkainen ja ruohoinen, pehmeähkön vaaleahkon maltainen ja selkeähkön humalaisen katkera.
Hyvät ja tasapainoiset maut. Suutuntuma on keskitäyteläinen, kuivakka ja hiilihappoinen.
Oikein maukas ja mukavasti juotava olut. Hyvää perustekemistä, mutta odotukset olivat kovemmat.

Tämä versio 8.5%.
Haalean keltainen väri.
Tuoksu on Mosse. Ananas, mustikka, mango, sitrus, herukka.
Pehmeä maku. Pieni mausteisuus ja peräkärry. Kuiva, Amerikan IPA sanoisin. Ananas, herukka, greippi. Jotenkin ei toimi itselle. Vähän hiivainen, vehnää. Ihan jees tasapaino. Katkera herukka. 4.1.

Dark honey coloured and partly transparent is this double dry hopped single hop American brew. Nice aromas of pineapple, bubblegum, papaya and pine.
In the mouth is tangy, not particularly thick feeling, full bodied and a lingering finish. It's not as fruity as on the nose, leaning alot more into Mosaics pine-like tendancies. The soft tropical flavours are nice, like papaya but I'd prefer them more forward, perhaps they will be as this beer warms and breathes.
I'm pleased to say the pineapple increases as does the over all rounded flavour. Less pine more tropical tang. Its still pine heavy and bitter, compared to a sweet creamy Polly's but this is an American after all.
This is the risk and nature of single hop brews, lacking in depth and variation. In these brews you need to go saturated and this beer definitely benefits from the DDH, but I'd say TDH would be better. There is enough flavour to cover the 8% ABV as I'd expect from The Veil. On reflection it is a good single hop Mosaic showcase. Strong, flavourful tang with classic USA carbonation and pine.
