HPA is a truly delightful pale ale. It’s smooth on the palate and boasts a citrus hop aroma leading to a balanced bitter finish. Locally grown Target and Celeia hops, plus malted wheat and extra pale Maris Otter malted barley, make this a bottle-conditioned beer with all the right ingredients!

I haven't had it for a while, so I decided to have another one. It has a nice hoppy aroma, a hoppy taste with a subtle fruitiness mixed in, and a slight sweetness to finish, but it's enjoyable. It's a smooth and easy-drinking session ale, well worth trying again.

A nice example of a cask pale ale. Not overly bitter or hoppy though as I prefer in my pale ales

Not bad. I do like everything I've tried from the Wye Valley Brewery, and like this, too. A reasonable pale ale, with a very slight hint of citrus, but a very pleasant bitter finish. I guess it's probably a more traditional pale, rather than the overtly citrus pales that are more common today. Still, certainly drinkable.
