Todella tamminen ja pehmeä Porter.

A dark one for a nightcap. Black. Matt black. And opaque, of course. A fawn small-bubbled lacing of half a finger is what I observe on the surface. The weak foam can't be sustained for long. Oh mama, I 🖤 the fragrance: fruity oaky aromas, vanilla, a bit of licorice, roasted malt and remote plum. Interesting! The label doesn't reveal anything about the former content, if any, of the barrel. Smells very much like Bourbon... Is it? Anyone? The tastebuds 🖤 the soft flavors of licorice, vanilla, Bourbon, oak barrel notes, a little injection of roasted malt and a pinch of plum skin. Amazingly beautiful, not a single tangy element involved. Sinks down my throat easily. The body is medium-full to full. The finish is appealingly soft, beautiful, seductive... and identical to upfront. Softness already mentioned. Let me add almost full, barrel aged, intense, gentle and deep. Distantly medicinal. 9.5 % is not a small ABV but this tastes and feels even bigger. A lovely piece, I must say. NOTE: The barcode leads to the American oak agreed quadrupel version of this series.

Todella hieno tuoksu. Tammisuus ja "makea" kevyen paahteinen mallas saa veden herahtamaan kielelle😋 Maku vastaa jokseenkin tuoksua. Tammisuus melko voimakas, tummahedelmäinen makeus ja kevyt paahteisuus tuo lähes Barleywine oloisuutta. Olisiko jopa pientä savuisuuttakin mukana. Suutuntuma lähes täyteläinen tai tässä tapauksessa täyteläinen, kyseessähän on "vain" Baltic Porter 😂 Joka tapauksessa erittäin hieno olut pitkästä aikaa.

Uusi olut pinttiin. Tämä on kyllä hauska. Maistuu kunnolla tuo tammisuus. Paahteisuutta.
