"What is your body count?" That's the phrase that explains the name of this beer. Ha. I'm learning to understand the naming policy of this brewery. Impenetrable, deep dark brown is the color. The carbonation is not particularly bold but a massive soapy tower emerges on the surface anyway. It shrinks gradually to a moderate level. Roasted malt, grapefruit and orange zest are the first components to find my nose. Maybe also a suggestion of mango? Interesting. A relatively fruity flavor package for a Black IPA. The hop cocktail explains it. A bit roasted undertone seasons the fruity elements of orange, mango, grass, a hint of coffee and biscuit. Quite unexpected. The body is light to light-medium. Reasonable for the ABV. The tail lifts the roasty sector slightly higher but, otherwise, the medley continues fairly unchanged. The beer leaves a light-medium, marginally roasty, soft, smooth and quaffable. And effervescent. Nice, unpredictable, deviates from the standard style characteristics.
