11.0% Imperial Flavoured Stout / Imperial Pastry Stout

We had to add an Imperial Stout to this set of magnificent liquids and who better to do it with than our friends at the legendary Cloudwater. For you big stout lovers you will be familiar with their My Continuous Improvement series, so were we, so that was a good place to start. We took key elements of the MCI beers and delicately weaved it into our own stout making approach. Post fermentation we hit the beer with a Cacaodemon level of cacao nibs courtesy of our buds @tablechocolate, a load of Madagascan vanilla and, new to both of us, Pandan! A pastry stout lovers dream.

Parin todella kovan panimon collab. Maussa paahteisuutta, kahvia, suklaata ja reilusti maukasta vaniljaa. Todella maukasta ilman tynnyrikypsennyksiäkin.

Is this part of Cloudwater’s MCI series? At least the initial impression immediately brings that series to mind. The aroma is full of strong coffee, cocoa, dark chocolate, and vanilla. The mouthfeel is low-carbonated, rich, balanced, thick, slightly sweet, smooth, and very drinkable. Excellent mouthfeel overall. The flavor features roasted notes, berry-like nuances, coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, and a hint of caramel. The aftertaste is slightly sweet, smooth, chocolatey, roasted, and long-lasting, leaving a warm sensation in the chest. A really nice imperial stout. Among the best in Europe I have tasted when it comes to non-BA imperial stouts. __________________ Onko tämä sitä Cloudwaterin MCI - sarjaa? Ainakin ensi fiilis vie heti ajatukset siihen sarjaan. Tuoksussa on runsaasti vahvaa kahvia, kaakaota, tummaa suklaata ja vaniljaa. Suutuntuma on matalahiilihappoinen, runsas, tasapainoinen, paksu, makeahko, pehmeä ja juotavuus on tosi hyvä. Todella hyvä suutuntuma. Maussa on paahteisuutta, marjaisuutta, kahvia, tummaa suklaata, kaakaota, vaniljaa ja hieman karamelliä. Jälkimaku on makeahko, pehmeä, suklainen, paahteinen ja pitkäkestoinen. Jättää lämmön tunteen rintaan. Oikein kiva imppi ja laadukas imppi. Ihan Euroopan parhaimmistoa näissä ei tynnyröidyissä impeissä.
