I always love trying a new New Trail. This is a collab with Old Thunder brewing (never heard of them) combining Broken Heels (a beer I love) with their False Kingdom.
This has a tropical fruit with light citrus that leans towards mango, pineapple, very subtle other tropical fruits and light slightly sweet grapefruit. Just barely a hint of pine. Hoppy bitterness is light-almost +. Finishes juicy but with a little dryness to it.
Overall it ended up being kind of light and unoriginal. Kind of your typical average style NEIPA. A bit disappointing since I hold New Trail to a higher standard but still decent enough.
Canned 7/9/25.
It is nice to be watching some hockey now that it is getting chilly. 🏒🥅🏒
