I’m not the biggest pumpkin ale fan but I remembered having Double Zombies and enjoying it. Saw a barrel aged version so had to try it. This has a vanilla, oak, light bourbon, ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon and light pumpkin taste. Vanilla is stronger than I remember with the original and the oak is strong. Must be from the barrel aging. The bourbon taste lingers with some of the pumpkin spices also remaining a bit. As I finish and it warms the vanilla and oak come back out taking back over. I think they took the original and improved by barrel aging. This was excellent. Canned 7/30/25.
