Hello friends. Apologies again for being away for a while. I've been on a work Odyssey which has been getting in the way of the better things in life - like beer..! As Autumn approaches - a late picture of the sun going down over the River Severn outside The Sally. Pete's latest batch of IPA on keg is superb. It's becoming a proper standard. Golden in colour and with a finely balanced tang of hops and fruit. It's scarily drinkable. You should all come down and try it. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. Cheers!

I'm sorry to be posting this so soon after the last one, but this batch of Pete's IPA is really very good indeed. It's fuller and thicker than the earlier versions and has a slight malty edge that sets it apart. After being blown away by multiple Californian fruit and hop cannons, this is a beer that has a distinctly English vibe. It pulls in the tropical and pine notes but tempers them with a bitter like twang. Roll around the mouth good and massively drinkable. Local legends Pete and Trish provided a sack load of nibbles including this brilliantly named jar of pickles. Beer, cheese, bread and home made gherkins. Superb.

A new batch of Tiley's IPA and if anything it's even better. Pete and Jonny have pulled it out of the bag again. If anything it's slightly maltier than the big US versions - but that's an interesting twist that sets it apart. Loads of hops and fruit as you would expect with plenty of tongue rolling punch. Everyone is loving it tonight. I could drink this until it came out of my ears - and will be back tomorrow to help finish it off. There is plenty of free produce available tonight - beans, tomatoes, chills and the cucumber I took home. Perfect for some gin later.

Launched today at The Sally, so this is hot off the press. It's fantastic- Jonny the brewer, ex of the Bristol Beer Factory has pulled a wonderful beer out of the bag. Massive amounts of hops mean this is thick and soapy with loads of oily oomph. It's incredibly fresh, having only travelled a 100 yards. If you are anywhere near, come and try it. The first barrel is nearly gone....but there are two more. Excellent.
