Peculiar IPA 5.1%, Theakston Brewery, England

Peculiar IPA
5.1% India Pale Ale
Weird BUT Gorgeous. Looks like a dark Red Malty Ale with a thick foamy head that remains at least half way down.... But it has the Drinkability of a Smooth IPA.. Bold Hops which DO blend smoothly with a Nice gentle Malty Background! Definitely NOT a standard IPA but don't hold that against it like some people are doing.

Everything I want in an IPA. Bitterness of the hops up front. Lovely beer. Just need to remember where I bought so I can get more. I didn't know Theakstons did an IPA either.

How Peculiar! Doesn't have the bitter taste of an IPA, but it's taste is great and lasts all the way to the bottom of the glass. Excellent

Well this is quite a strange almost peculiar IPA. Rounded and full of flavour on the nose and first draught but doesn’t go anywhere after that. Indeed the finish just well drifts off.

Tastes more like a Stout than an IPA?? Though that might be because im slightly drunk. A pleasant yet peculiar surprise nonetheless.
