Reilu katkerohumalointi. Ei toimi kovin kylmänä.

Ajattelin sellaista hidasta nautiskelua harrastaa tämän mustan ja superkauniin keltaruskeavaahtoisen oluen äärellä. Pitsitkin jäävät lasin reunoille koko matkalle, muodostaen upean, pysyvän taideteoksen. Tuoksu ei ole mikään supermonipuolinen, mutta herkullinen tumma suklaa ja kaakao, kera kuivakan ja vahvan espresson riittää kyllä hyvin. Suutuntuma on lievän poreileva, kuitenkin pehmeähkö. Ei mikään äärimmäisen paksu olut, tuntuu soljuvan kitaan helposti ja nopeasti. Makupaletissa on tuoksusta tutut kuivattava espresso ja todella tumma suklaa. Raakaa ja kuivaa, lievää yrttisyyttä ja alkoholia sopivasti herättelemässä makunystyröitä. Loppuliukuun saavuttaessa myös katkeroinen sysäys pyörii suussa. Kitalakeen ja poskiin jää kiva pyörivä kerros kuivakkuutta melko pitkäksi aikaa. Ei aina tarvita hurjaa määrää lisättyjä aineksia. Joskus tällainen melko yksinkertainen tuotos on aivan hyvä. Tässä tapauksessa erittäin hyvä. Totaalista tasapainoa!

Mit Wumms! Dunkel und ölig ergießt es sich ins Glas, es bildet sich eine respektable und stabile Schaumkrone. Der Geruch ist überraschend zurückhaltend und erinnert mich an Vanille. Im Mund zunächst ölig und moderat prickelnd, dann kommt Süße, Aromen die an Lebkuchen erinnern bevor der Abgang etwas Herbe zeigt. Für mich ein sehr gutes weil harmonisches Imperial Stout. Aus der Dose.

Muddy, very deep dark brown beer with lively but rushed carbonation delivers a sponge-like, burned yellow head that grows two fingers tall. The foamy pillow loses slowly air and descends to an uneven lace ring wafting on top. The retreating foam paints the glass with zigzagging cobwebs. The scent is considerably restrained: I can barely find distant raw chocolate and a pinch of coffee beans. That's all. Unfortunately. The tongue is waiting for the first sip with anxiety -- uncertain if this is gonna be a hit or miss. The taste receptors get relieved as massive dark chocolate, a huge punch of cacao nibs, a good amount of mocha and even a bit of tonka beans bring in some character. I can also pick some mudcake, pouring chocolate brownie and smaller amendments of date and unidentified citrus. The boozy bang hits the tastebuds with notable strength despite the fact that the ABV is not more than 9.5 %. The relatively "low" ABV is, however, revealed by the body that is merely medium. The beer ends with loads of raw chocolate and raw cacao powder, accompanied by somewhat bitter mocha and distant citrus. The subtle hoppy touch can now be felt for the first time during the drink. The aftertaste declines rapidly in intensity but still rolls in the back of the mouth for quite some time. The mouthfeel is nice. To be more accurate, the mouthfeel is thick, rather sticky and lip-glueing. It's also strong and intense, not to forget about boozy as well as warming. Desserty but not necessarily a very slow sipper.

Kevyesti vaahtoava, tuoksussa suklaista kahvia. Maku tumma suklaa, vahva kahvi ja kevyttä hedelmäisyyttä.
