Tally Ho! Das kenne ich nur als Ausruf von Kampffliegern. Dieses Dark Strong Ale mit sagenhaften 5,5% abv trägt diesen Namen. Das Antlitz des Dunkelbieres ist rotbraun und klar mit beigem Schaum. Die Nase ist dunkelmalzig und erinnert etwas an Pottwein. Geschmacklich hat man es dann mit sehr viel verbranntem Karamell zu tun. Wenig Kohlensäure und eine kräftigere Bitterung runden das Ale ab. Nach Gewöhnung an das dunkle Karamellmalz wird das verbrannte Aroma abgeschwächt und die Bitterkeit übernimmt zusehends. Englische Biere sind halt anders. So auch das Tally Ho! Nicht supersüffig aber auch nicht anstregend. Einen Versuch wert!
