I have low expectations for this but I must only drink Spanish beers while I'm here in Spain. Poured very well and gave a nice picturesque body, golden yellow with one firm finger of white foam that retained well, and lots of lively bubbles in the glass. Scents of faint wheat, malted barley and are very light note of corn at the end. Mouthfeel light bodied and holds it's own quite well having foam and carbonation in equal measure. Taste is a little dull, water upfront followed by a barrage of cereals that are at first indistinct, before separate elements of wheat and barley become clear. The sweetness from the corn also materialises but not before a peculiar, faint hint of anaseed can be found beneath everything else. Not great, but actually an improvement on the regular 'especial'.
