Yllättävän kiva tumma. Helppo juoda eikä liian mämminen tai puuroinen.

Lucid, chestnut brown beer with brisk carbonation builds a soapy straw-colored froth that exceeds two fingers. The foamy stack descends gradually to a messy lace ring on the surface.
Molasses, dark bread and a smaller dollop of syrup find my nose first. Perhaps also a suggestion of purple plum skin. However, the scent is not sweet at all, it rather gives a slightly dry impression in the air.
The tastebuds can't really verify the dryness of the palate. Sweetness is obvious although moderate. Syrup intensifies substantially but remains still manageable. Molasses, respectively, shrinks. Toasted dark malt bread is shy in the shadows. I don't spot any plum skin but I do find a hint of blackcurrant twig and even the berry. The hoppy segment is narrow but offers a recognizable grassy element.
The body is light to light-medium but definitely not more than that. The finish lives fast and offers a bit of interesting licorice that has not popped up here earlier.
The mouthfeel is light, smooth, modestly toasty and balanced but also a tad characterless. All in all, a reasonable Dunkel that is, fortunately, less sweet than I anticipated.

A dark, strong tasting beer. Caramelised, spicy tastes. Historically, like a middle age inspired beers. A tasty, historical beer.

Tosi tumma ja hyvä vaahto. Maussa tummaa suklaata ja kahvia.

Mausta tunnistaa että on antaumuksella luotu, ei liian raskas - on hyvä dunkeli.
