A decent drink with a nice floral hoppy aroma and a slight fruity note. It has a similar taste profile but with a subtle maltiness mixed in. A subtle bitterness gives way to a nice sweet finish, with a slight spicy aftertaste that is enjoyable. It is smooth and easy to drink.

Slight initial malt sweetness & a bitter end to this UK/USA hopped Pale Ale

Now that's a proper mild. Full-bodied, chocolate, malty and strong. 👍

Billed as a strong mild ale (mild it is not) but I kinda see what they mean. Treacle meets espresso in this brew & pretty bloomin' good too.

JDW Beer Festival, October 2025.
Pours dark coloured with a reddish hue and a white head. Aromas of coffee with a hint of chocolate.
Strong, Mild Ale and dangerously easy drinking. Worth a try.

Holy Jesus, this is a nasty drink. This is what captain Jack sparrows crew drank in dark times and it will put the hair on any prepubescent boys chest. Would advise against unless someone pays you to drink this or your a raging alcoholic looking for a spicy concoctions to cook your taste buds.
It’s dark and mysterious - be careful
