A strange beer. Certainly refreshing and a welcome relief on hot days. But at the same time, it's difficult to detect both the bitterness of the hops and the passion fruit flavor. Mainly acidity.

For a Grodzisk beer, it's relatively low in CO2. The smoked malt flavor is also overshadowed by the maltiness. But it's still very drinkable.

Contrary to the description, this beer is relatively sweet. It has a very thick head after pouring, and the carbonation is low. The smoky aroma is less noticeable than in German beers. However, it tasted very pleasant and I would gladly drink it again.

One of the (many) beerstyles that I love but find too seldom. Now a big one. Transparent, brown-purple. A creamy head. Caramel and blackcurrant mash in the air. Blackcurrant juice takes the lead on the tongue. The label doesn't reveal what barrel this has rested in but my guess is red wine. I can taste it. Maybe a bit of caramel and big oak barrel notes, as well. Relatively intense, medium, vinous, tannic, barrel aged, dry and drying. A curiosity that delivers!

Ihan ok lajissaan. Ite jään kaipaamaan happamuutta sekä suutuntumaa, jotka jää vajaaksi tässä.
