This is good but I drank it after Adnams Ghost Ship which was better!

Another one that I'd forgotten I had already tasted. It's a decent drink, but it suffers from the usual JDW curse. It has a nice fruity aroma, a fruity taste with a subtle maltiness as a background flavor, and a slight sweetness to finish, making it enjoyable. It's smooth and easy-drinking, apart from the usual JDW curse of lacking any head.

Very delicious Porter with pronounced dark berry fruit flavours which accompany the coffee & chocolate rather than dominate

Having a nightcap with this-fiercely drinkable in spite of its strength. Brewed with Pale and Crystal malts, and hopped with the classic combination of English Goldings and Challenger hops. A distinctive peppery and orange aroma leads to a fruity malt taste balanced with a satisfying lingering bitterness.

Decent drink. Nice floral, hoppy aroma. Hoppy taste with a subtle citrus fruit tang. Slight malty notes leading to a subtle sweet finish. Slight bitter aftertaste, but enjoyable. Overall, a good session ale that's well balanced.

JDW Beer Festival, October 2025.
Crisp and refreshing Golden Ale. Decent enough session beer.
