Can’t go wrong with this beer; a well balanced amber ale brewed with Maris Otter barley and British hops. The malted barley shines through with a bitter flavour and a subtle aromatic spice.

Christmas might be over but I’ve been tasting the Bath Ales range this week. With hints of rum mingling with coffee and vanilla flavours, this beer is a delectable Porter that is best drunk on a cold night in front of the fire.

A fresh and hoppy IPA with notes of juicy tropical fruit and lime zest. Pours a pale amber colour with strong fruity notes on the nose. The taste has a curious mix of grassy lemon, lime and pine with a sweet hoppy finish. Goes well with spicy food and rice dishes.

A flavoursome pale ale which pours a golden yellow colour and has hints of light malty hops on the nose. The taste is very citrusy with a dry grapefruit flavour and a bitter finish. The First Gold hops contribute to the beer’s light malty taste. Good thing I live near Bath!

A proper pub ale from Bath, just twenty five minutes near where I live! Pours an auburn chestnut brown colour with a smell of spicy hops and toffee. Brewed with traditional British malts and hops, there is a nice balance of soft fruits and bittersweet caramel with a soft smooth bitterness. The perfect match for barbecues meats, steak pies or strong cheeses.
