Crisp and refreshing. Hint of gooseberry in the flavour. Good session beer.

Not too bad

JDW Beer Festival, October 2025. Citrusy and hoppy with a pleasant bitterness in the finish. Nice beer.

I was surprised by this ale as the tasting notes promised a fruity note but I thought the ale was almost without flavour. Definitely bland which was disappointing given its rich colour. The ale does have a pleasant aroma but sadly for me that didn’t come through in the taste.

From memory (after a fair few festival ales) this was a reasonably fruity & enjoyable amber ESB

Not bad at all. Quite piney and hoppy and with a nice bitterness to it.
