The brewery was built in 1996 and is housed in an attractive range of traditional former agricultural buildings adjacent to St. Peter’s Hall. Siting the brewery at St. Peter’s was ideal because of the excellent water quality from our own deep bore-hole. Locally malted barley is used, together with Kentish hops, to produce a range of classical English cask-conditioned ales. In addition the company produces a range of superb bottled beers.

A very smooth beer. Distinct flavours of plum and blackcurrant on the tongue with very little bitterness. A bit too sweet for my taste but I could see how people may enjoy it. It may actually be ok warmed.

Not sure if I opened a bad batch, but not worth spending the money to see if the smell/taste is consistent. Yeah, there was a faint chocolate aroma. F’ all vanilla. And the taste reminded me more of wet shoes in the cupboard.
