Wimbledon Brewery
England
chevron_leftchevron_right
Derek Prentice has seen the fall and rise of London Brewing since he began at Truman’s back in the late 1960s. He’s witnessed the end of Truman’s, the departure of Young’s and the continuing success at Fuller’s - and now he’s down at Wimbledon, where £500,000 has been invested. The beers are, as you’d expect, classically-inclined and extremely drinkable. Session ales don’t come much better, actually, than his Common Pale Ale, an orange-and-plum, English hops and Maris Otter delight.

Decent floral hoppy aroma with a slight spicy note. Citrusy taste with a nice hoppiness mixed in. Malty notes leading to a subtle spiciness. Slight caramel sweetness to finish but very subtle. Smooth and easy drinking session ale especially at the abv
