Lager time. It's been a while since I had a 🇨🇭 Lager last time. And this is not even a macro. The beer is dressed in a translucent amber outfit. The carbonation is a bit restrained but produces an off-white frogspawny head that finds itself at the sufficient magnitude of one finger. However, it doesn't last long, soon it's a mere ring of tiny bubbles in the sides. A somewhat sweet-leaning scent... Biscuit, dough, orange peel. Juicy. And diacetyl. Is there any sign of hops in the air? Obviously not. Doesn't impress me now but the diacetylic twist (off-flavor?) gives me some hope... I'm hoping that the gustatory way could prove more exciting. [Sipping... Gurgling in the mouth...] Well, the diacetyl probably saves a lot here, otherwise this doesn't give me vibes of excitement. Biscuit malt in dominance. Dough, lemon zest, orange peel, apricot, distant fruity hops. Ends with the same concoction. The mouthfeel is light, juicy, zesty, slightly butyric and modestly slick. Characterless for sure but the diacetyl spares this from a disaster. Without diacetyl: 2.4. With diacetyl: 3.2
