The Five Points Brewing Company
London, England
chevron_leftchevron_right
Some breweries appear to open almost by accident, their beers sent out into the world on little more than desire and self-belief: Five Points is not one of those breweries. The man behind it is Ed Mason (once owner of the late, lamented Mason and Taylor) and everything about Five Points (like the cute bottle caps, for example) suggests attention to detail is one of his strong points. The beer is similarly well thought-out: the likes of Hook Island Red and Five Points Pale are designed to appeal to the growing breed of drinkers who want a big whack of hops and balance in their beer.

A balanced session bitter featuring rich caramel, biscuit and nutty malt notes. Brewed with Kentish Fuggle hops, this offers a refreshing, slightly herbal bitterness and grassy aroma with a crisp finish.

Yeah yeah I thought this was pretty nice, quaffable for a 5.5 proof, in light of that could be dangerous. Well done five points another decent beer.
