Got a mini-keg for Christmas and I’m finally getting round to tasting. It’s a beautiful colour, ruby amber, there’s a good bready malty aroma. On first taste it’s almost sweet but with a earthy bitterness, I presume from the English hops. It’s a decent enough ale (it is CamRA certified) and I’ve still got about 8 pints to get through so here goes. (Also it’s a very local brewery - about 10 miles away) if you like proper northern ale , you’ll not go wrong with this.
