This has been in storage a long time. Date on the bottom says May 25th 2023. I'm in the mood for something dark and sweet so it's time to try it.
Not as much head as I was expecting, really dark color. The aroma has dark sweet cocoa, dark malt and a sweet liqueur background. Soft and creamy but with a mild dryness. The kind of sweet dryness when you taste powdered cocoa. Immediately the next thing is a mild coffee bean that slowly develops into espresso. As the finish arrives the dry bitterness continues with a mixture of coffee and dark chocolate. Throughout, the nitro characteristic prevails.
This seems to me to have many of the characteristics of an Irish Stout. Very interesting beer.
