Hyvät hapot, rapsakka katkero. Aika yrttisen oloinen, mut ehkä se tulikin katkerosta jotenkin. Kevyen hedelmäinen. Ehkä tää solero humalana ei oo ihan mun pala kakkua.

Hieno hoppy pils. Himo tuli Ouluun hyvällä kombolla.

Relatively loud carbonation welcomes me when I crack my first weekend beer open. Yes, it's bold, too. Gives a powerful fizz when the foam starts pouring out. Fortunately, only a little, no need to clean a big mess. The emerging head is frothy and climbs four fingers high. The beer itself is semihazy and straw for the appearance. A beautifully grainy scent. A bit cerealy. Not really bready though. I'm imagining distant diacetyl in anticipation of enjoying it but most likely it stays out of my reach. A citrusy wisp joins the grainy slam a bit later. The grainy malt merges with unexpectedly ample citrusy hops on the tongue. Here it is where a "hoppy pils" becomes hoppy. Nice. Grapefruit peel and pith are the dominant citrusy elements, even to the extent that the grainy nucleus becomes subordinate on its own territory. Zesty for sure but not diacetyl in the gustatory profile. I would have welcomed it though... The body is light. Works fine for this drink. The finish is bitter citrusy, the same flavors as upfront, and short-lived. The malty side shrinks to the minimum. Don't you dare act cute for me 'cause my tastebuds can't take the aftertaste easy, I don't know what to do 'cause I'm just a fanboi. The mouthfeel is light, a tad crisp, zesty, pithy, somewhat dry and drying. It's also effervescent, clean and balanced. A nice gulper on a hot summer day. P.S. I'm not sure what the name "Tuuletinpoika" refers to. My guess is that it's a deliberately misguided translation of a "fanboi".

Grassy pils. Malt and grassy hop aromas. Dryish hoppy finish.
