Barrel Aged Advent Calendar Day #4 2020 vintage Bourbon, chocolatey, roasty aroma. Taste has tons of flavorful bourbon, nice oak presence and notes of chocolate. The body is full with appropriately low carbonation. Short abbreviated description, but don't kid yourself... this is a great beer. The brewery (Ellison) has really gone downhill in the past few years, and unfortunately they haven't released this since 2021, but I'll definitely enjoy what I have from them and hope they get their act together. The craft beer world is super oversaturated and unfortunately the ones that aren't up to snuff will go. Hopefully they fix their issues before it happens to them. Either way, 4.75/5

Barrel Aged Advent Calendar beer Day #10 2018 vintage, unknown canned date Bourbon, oak, and chocolate in the aroma. Taste has bourbon, chocolate and coffee notes, and oak towards the late mid-palate and back end. A bit of warmth on the way down, which is expected at 14.5% abv. 4.75/5

Beer #1000!!! I've heard some great things about this beer (even some people comparing it to BCBS), and I've enjoyed the variants, so I picked this one for this incredible milestone. The aroma has bourbon, chocolate, coffee, caramel and dark fruits. Smells amazing. Taste has bourbon, rich chocolate, caramel, coffee and dark fruits, in that order. Very rich in flavor. Wow. Absolutely delicious beer. On par with BCBS. I wouldn't say it's better, as some people have said, but it's damn close. Super high 4.75/5
