A golden-yellow pilsner with its fine head is probably the best known beer. Internationally it can also be also be called “lager”, a generic style. Pilsener is named after the Bohemian town of Pilsen, where it comes from. With an original wort of about eleven per cent and an alcohol content of 4.8 per cent, Pils is a “Vollbier” and more hopped than others. In order to attain the fruity character of a top pilsner, only the best hops from the best growing regions are used.
