This has been in storage a long time. Date on the bottom says May 25th 2023. I'm in the mood for something dark and sweet so it's time to try it. Not as much head as I was expecting, really dark color. The aroma has dark sweet cocoa, dark malt and a sweet liqueur background. Soft and creamy but with a mild dryness. The kind of sweet dryness when you taste powdered cocoa. Immediately the next thing is a mild coffee bean that slowly develops into espresso. As the finish arrives the dry bitterness continues with a mixture of coffee and dark chocolate. Throughout, the nitro characteristic prevails. This seems to me to have many of the characteristics of an Irish Stout. Very interesting beer.

Advent Calendar 2023, Day 15. Goes also for a nightcap. The can opens with a loud bang. I got first scared that the foam was going to erupt like a volcano but it didn't. Obviously the nitro capsule did its job and gave a serious boost to the emerging froth. The foam is chocolatey, beautifully dense and grows two fingers thick. The beer, in turn, portrays deep black as night. A relatively thick lacing caps the beer as long as five minutes later. Crazy! Roasted malt, raw chocolate and a twist of strong espresso dominate the olfactory supply. Smooth and easy, quite predictable, of course. I expected something dry and bitter but what I actually get is moderately sweet-leaning: dark chocolate, cacao nibs, espresso, coffee beans, lactose, roasted malt and remote aniseed. A welcome array of nuances for enjoyment. The body is full. Probably also induced by the nitro effect, at least partly. The tail offers ample dark chocolate, espresso, lactose and roasted malt. The bulk of the earlier components anyway. The aftertaste just wants to be a galactic cowboy; it just wants to ride and rope and hoot; a supernatural country rockin' galoot. The mouthfeel is full, slightly roasty, truly velvety, smooth and somewhat intense. Intriguing.

Hyvä sihaus avatessa tölkki, mustaa ja vaahto hyvä samettinen joka laskeutuu sopivasti, paahteinen kahvi, tumma suklaa tuntuu, hiukan vaisu kuitenkin prossiin verrattuna, runko saisi olla hiukan tuhdimpi, mielyttävä kylmeneviin ilmoihin, keskinkertainen imppu stout...hyvä silti...

Nitro patruuna tölkissä. Paksun pehmeä suutuntuma. Maitokahvia, suklaata, häivähdys vaniljaa ja paahteisuutta. Lempeä, alkoholi hyvin piilossa. Hieno bisse pimeneviin iltoihin.

Tummanruskea. Beige vaahto. Tuoksu paahteinen. Maku tumma, paahteinen, pikkuisen suklaata ja mallasta(BB20/4/22) Hyvä olut.
