My first ever Tartarus beer, and I’m very pleased with it. Highly carbonated it provided a heavy tan head that soon dissipates. The carbonation in the beer remains but also peters off to let the body shine through. It’s boozy and although full bodied, it has a lightness to it that makes it extremely quaffable. Lactose, chocolate and vanilla compliment the malt bill nicely, there’s nothing overpowering but also no hints of roastiness, so it does what it says in the tin I guess! If there was one flavour they stood out I’d say it was the vanilla but probably because the lactose enhances this somewhat. Great start, looking forward to the others!
